Night at the Carnival
Hey Guys! Sorry about not posting in a while... I was away. And while I was away, I went to a carnival, which inspired these crafts! Wanna learn how to make popcorn, tickets, cotton candy, and what to use for prizes? Read on!
Popcorn: You need - white construction paper , a red marker, white Styrofoam, a yellow marker, wet glue, tape, scissors.
1. Cut out a BIG rectangle of paper... this will be the cup. Color red stripes on it with the marker.
2. Roll up the rectangle so that it forms a cylinder with no bases. Tape the two ends together.
3. Then cut out a circle that will be used as the cup bottom. Use small strips of tape to attach it to the bottom of your cup.
4. Now that you have your cup, its popcorn time! Color your Styrofoam yellow like popcorn with the marker. Then rip it up into pieces, like pieces of popcorn. If there are still white spaces, color the pieces in more.
5. Now, plop in your popcorn! If you do not have enough to fill in the whole cup, put glue on the sides of your cup near the top and then keep on adding layers of glue and then more popcorn. Lastly, glue on a few top pieces of popcorn and color in most white spaces to top off! Let dry.
Cotton Candy: you need - pink or blue needle felting wool, white paper, scissors, tape, wet glue, needle felting needles (most points work fine).
1. Take a sheet of the wool and roll it up. Poke the end to the rest of the roll (poking with a needle binds the wool fibers).
2. Then, fold up the ends if they are pointy or thin and poke them to the rest of the roll. Your cotton candy part is done now.
3. Cut out an obtuse shape triangle out of your paper. Roll it up to form a cone with no base. Tape together the two sides.
4. Use your glue to attach the cotton candy to the cone (attach cotton part to the open side). Let it dry and you are done!
Tickets : Cut out a rectangle of paper and use markers to write on it. Let the ink dry before putting with your doll!
PRIZES - The penguin on the left is a puzzle eraser, and the stuffed bear on the right with Kanani is a small TY Beanie Baby.
Other Things that Work:
Squinkies, Polly Pockets, small rubber bouncy balls... anything on hand!

How to American Girl Doll Pick!
So, I hope that you have all seen my American Girl Dolls post from yesterday. Anyway, did you know that my Josefina, Felicity and Molly dolls are all from Tag Sales and Yard Sales? Also, some of my accessories and clothes are from Yard Sales, too. And when I say that I "picked" them, well you would know if you watch the show American Pickers. To pick something at a yard or tag sale means to spot it and buy it and the noun form "pick" means the sale.. Also, to "pop" on something means to make an offer.
Tonight I will teach you how to go on American Girl Doll picks!
DO DON'T
Get there early - at least 30 mins before sale! Show up late
Get there with something to hold accessories in Try to hold accessories with your hands!
Be ready to argue on a price! Agree with very high prices
Be ready to dig and hunt Expect it to be neat!
Gather accessories and then pop on it as a bundle Price Individually.
Expect to get retired or older items Expect to get items that newly came out

American Girl Twirl's AG Dolls
These are my American Girl Dolls. I will name each one going left to right from top to bottom. P.S. JLY means Just Like You doll and GOTY means Girl of the Year doll!
Felicity, Josefina, Samantha, Bailey (JLY),
Kit, Molly, Kirsten,
Julie, Kanani (GOTY), Saige (GOTY).
All of the dolls ending with Molly are Pleasant Company, and the rest are Mattel. All of my dolls except the dolls with JLY or GOTY after them are Historical dolls. The most valuable doll that I own is Kanani. She sells on Ebay for about 150 - 225 dollars! But of course, I love my dolls all the same and I am lucky to have them!

A Review of American Girl Saige
I received Saige for Easter 2013. If you are wondering more about her, read this....
Saige is one of the most beautiful dolls that American Girl has made! She has deep blue eyes and adorable freckles. The type of eyebrow she has is the type that mimics the look of hairs and is not just an arched line like
Felicity's. One of Saige's best features is her hair. It is a pretty auburn color
and is wavy and long, but, can get tangled very easily! I wouldn't give Saige to a very little girl because of her hair. To keep the hair nice, I usually keep it in the original rope braid or in a regular braid and always mist it before I use the brush or pick on it. Saige comes in a blue/purple ruffle dress with an unremovable belt, and she is also wearing turquoise underpants and cute strappy boots. Saige comes with a turquoise ring that will be taped to the side
of the box when she comes. It can fall of easily during play, but is otherwise a nice
addition to the doll. Saige also has her ears pierced, which makes her even more special.
The earrings are cute little silver flowers studs that can be removed to change them.
Overall, Saige was a great addition to my collection and I definitley recommend
her. If you are still skeptic about purchasing this doll, just remember, you will regret it once
she is retired!
